PIPE LAY
Our personnel is well prepared to face all the challenges that pipe laying operations on the seafloor entail. A subsea pipe can be laid following three methods: S-lay, J-lay and tow-in. Our fleet and equipment enable us to lay all diameters of PEAD pipe and up to 40 inches steel pipe.
TESTING
Prior to any pipe lay operation, we perform a Hydratight-test of all the components installed underwater: flanges, gaskets, bolts, nuts. Furthermore, once a pipe is laid, we perform the precommissioning test on the entire pipe-length.
SHORE APPROACHING
Once the pipe line reaches the shallow water, special techniques are used to pull it ashore:
_from the barge with a wire passing through a snatch block installed on the shore
_from the shore by means of a winch.
